my grandad has very recently been diagnosed with cancer, he has been told it is in his liver, his lungs and also his lymph glands and he has about 5 -6 weeks left. Can this be true when he is very well in himself, he is not yellow in colour, he simply went to the doctor 2 weeks ago with lack of appetite and a slight pain above his stomach. he seems very well at the moment. Will this deteriorate very quickly?

I’m fat (65 extra pounds), and for a long time I’ve used baby powder in the crevasses in my skin, you know, in the groin area, under my breasts, and also under that darn hanging stomach I have. If I don’t, those areas get red and inflamed, and they only take maybe two to three days to get like that, too.

Now I’m finding out that not only is talc baby powder thought to cause ovarian cancer when you use it all the time in the genital area, as I do, but also it can be contaminated with asbestos–OMG!!!!.

And not only that, but inhaling it into the lungs is its own bad thing…and my pulmonologist told me that the inhaling into lungs thing is even worse with cornstarch.

So what do I do???? It can’t cost a mint, either. I’m usually pretty broke. Does anyone have any expertise in this matter?

Thanks!

The last 2 months have been a pain in the rear! I have had numerous tests done to see what this chronic swelling in the face and neck and the doc thought my lymphoma might be back- it was not. The swelling did not go away though. So, he decided to check the chest/lungs, stomach, kidneys, gall bladder, liver, and pancreas. Everything was fine except the lungs. The lungs showed 4 small nodules, but the oncologist was not too worried. Now I have a stabbing pain under my right rib cage and it feels like I’m itching from the inside out. Could this be more serious. Does this sound like lung cancer?

I quit smoking 3 years ago and I didn’t smoke real often to begin with. I don’t live with smoker and am not in close contact with any. I have never been exposed to asbestos. I just don’t get it!
