Or is lung cancer found in a different sort of test, and mammograms only show breast cancer?

mammograms are for scanning ( squishing) the mammary organs for Cancer
Lung abnormalities can usually be detected via Chest X rays

unless the cancer has spread, you need two different tests, such as the first girl mentioned.

Nope – because a mammogram doesn’t look into the chest at all. It only looks at the soft breast tissue – and even that is pulled away from the chest wall in order to get a good scan. A mammogram does not go anywhere near the lungs.
