my home was built in 1991 and i am wondering what are the chances that it could contain asbestos?

It depends what country you’re in but most places stopped using it in the 70s and 80s so i would say its very unlikely.If you have cause for concern you should ring the local council and find out when they banned it.

It is unlikely but still possible. Roofing products in the form of sealants and mastics may still contain asbestos. Vinyl floor tiles containing asbestos are still occassionally sold.
