The question is essentially, if you live in a house with asbestos is that a guarantee that you will become ill at some point ? Is there a chance that you can stay perfectly healthy

Not necessarily. Depends on what’s made of asbestos.
The siding of my house is asbestos, and the only risk is when the shingles break.
If the ceiling or walls are made of asbestos, the risk is whenever you hammer a hole or screw something into the asbestos and make the crystals break into the air.
