One of the hospitals I work for is near the Port of Los Angeles and I have seen several spouses who got mesothelioma from being exposed to asbestos on their spouses clothing. However, there is nothing you can do about it once it is done and worry does no good. It takes about 25 years to manifest. Yes it is possible you have been exposed too.
