I have just found out my girlfriend has it, I’m devestated, she’s 25 and I am worrying out of my mind hoping that she will get through it, what are the chances? surely its alot easier for someone who’s younger to get through something like this, and now she’s saying she’s give up and she take it no more, am proper upset about it, understandabley, but i cant begin to imagine what she’s going through :( any advice people? anythin at all! …

You do not say what stage she is and that makes a big difference. However, her age is working against her. It is very rare to see someone her age with lung cancer and when you do they usually do not survive. I am sorry.

I’m sorry your gf has cancer but is it in the early stages?
if it is then dont sweat it, it’s curable and her chances are good. If its in the higher stages then dont give up hope, lots of people have beaten lung cancer if they follow with the aggressive treatments. Make sure you are there for her always and most importantly dont let her get her hopes down. I will hope for the very best for you and your girlfriend.

OMG, i can’t imagine how you are feeling, let alone your girlfriend! i would hope at the eage of 25 she would have a fighting chance, what treatment have they suggested? is it small enough to remove the part of the lung that is infected or has a transplant been mentioned? eitherway she is young so her body should cope well with any treatment she receives. You have to stay very strong and supportive thoughout this for her, and most importantly stay positive. godd luck to both of you.
