What illness could cause me to cough up?

10 ounces or more of phlem at one time. Sometimes in one huge hunk.?????
Triggered by a tickle in my throat.
I don’t smoke or drink. But I lived with a smoker 25 years. And he had asbestos exposure most of my life.

Second hand smoke can be worse than first hand smoke. I would see a doctor about it. This time of year it can be allergies. Allergies cause a tickle in your throat and lots of coughing. There are allergy medications like Claritin that can be taken over the counter.

It can be too many things. Only a doctor will answer that.

Sounds like you may have TB. You should probably hit up the doctor asap.
